I do know if you have a child in school but this is one of the reason we removed our granddaughter we are bring up and do homeschooling. It is horrible even in grade school. I went to our school and told them what was going on with bullies and they just did not listen. I do not know if this girl wanted to fight our was jumped kids think it cool to fight. Horrible and now three lives are changed for ever, my question where were the teachers. Bathroom seems to be the in place to bully.

Bullying seems to be swept under the rug. Celebrities do PSA’s about it, but politicians do nothing. I don’t hear anybody asking the candidates about bullying.

What motivation does a kid today have to comply with anything they don’t want? There are no real consequences for their actions most of the time, and they’re all encouraged to do whatever they “feel” like doing. What’s the worst thing that happens to the average kid? A “timeout”!? No iPhone or computer for an hour!? Oh, dear God, NOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!

That pretty much sums it up. Don’t keep score in ball games, they might get their feelings hurt. Don’t make them play outside instead of playing video games inside, they’ll lose self-esteem because their friends don’t have to go outside. Don’t buy them a flip phone, get them the most expensive smart phone, ot else they’ll be laughed at.

And for heaven’s sake make sure everyone gets a trophy for participating. After all, we wouldn’t want them to know that they may occasionally not win EVERYTHING in life. No, far better to wait until they’re adults and the reality of failure can surprise them and give them something to work on during their spare time.
