New OT Rules

Salaried employees earning less than $47, 476.00 must receive overtime pay if they work more than 40 hours per week. Employers will not be able to call somebody a manager or supervisor and pay them a salary in order to avoid paying them OT.

This is great news for many overworked and underpaid salaried employees. If you're paid a salary as a manager and have to cover shifts when hourly employees don't show up, you'll finally get just compensation.
